Mark Ronson and The Business Int. – Somebody to Love Me feat. Boy George

I’m a bit slow on the uptake with this clip as it was released back in October 2010, or around-abouts. Anyway, it’s a wicked clip showing real, dirty, grimey, London nightlife. Probably included a visit to Boy George’s favourite King’s Cross club, Egg… yep, have some pretty good grimey memories of that place myself – actually met Boy George there too. I like the realness of it, I guess coz it is real footage.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Mark Ronson’s music, starting around the time of pretty little Jessica Alba’s movie Honey where he produced the track “Ooooh Weeee”, I used to dance to it, trying to be Honey……
He understands every single beat and how to match it with a new sound, reinventing an old, or not-so-old (see below his remix of Coldplay’s ‘God Put A Smile Upon Your Face’) song on a higher level – more layers, more intricacy, and always more party. He uses a lot of percussion, can play pretty much every instrument, so, incredibly talented, and stylish… he got swagger. Epic.

Ok… Had to put in the Honey song… So I can have a little boogie. Nate Daaaawgg!
